About a day and a half ago I posted an image I had finished coloring as a result of procrastinating from writing a story for my class. Not much later, Chloe (who had drawn the image about 2 years ago) scoffed at my efforts and told me to color something newer. Such as an image drawn to my request immediately. I thought a bit, settled on MISAKA Imouto (a nice design and one fitting for Chloe's art style) and no sooner said than done, a PSD lineart file had found its way to my inbox. Of course, I had to write a story first, which got dismissed as "just sci-fi" by many of my peers and by my professor, and ended up getting hardly any sleep... but after I was finally done with my long day of classes, I sat down and colored myself a picture. I quite like it.
There is nothing like work that I must do to make sure that I do work that does not need to be done. I have a new coloring of an old drawing of Shiori from Kanon in the gallery.
For some reason, lately, I just haven't been having any thoughts that I felt were worth blogging. Maybe that's just because I've been spending my free time reading One Piece so I don't want to take the time to blog. Maybe it's because I've had the obnoxiously long-lived remnants of a cold hanging over me. Maybe it's because I went back to school. I don't know.
So after the long-awaited fourth DVD of Kara no Kyoukai came out, it's been on my mind a lot. Luckily, the unusually-long wait for chapter four won't be repeated until after #5 comes out later this month; and instead, we'll be getting an unusually-long episode, the first one to be what in America would be termed "feature-length". And at just over 2 weeks away, I am getting hyped.
Well, this first post of the new year is long overdue, but I've finally gotten around to writing it. (I did, however, make a rare post to my anime music blog, Nekomimi Music in the meantime.) And, though I have some other interesting thoughts to post, I'll be saving those for a while. Right now, it's time to talk about the new anime starting this season.
I've finally finished Chrono Trigger DS (including the bonus dungeons and the special ending, but not all of the original endings). It was a special experience revisiting this game - one I've placed among my 2 all-time favorites (with only Super Metroid as company), but have not played in almost a decade. The DS version sure packs a lot of bonus material, none of which detracts from the game, but none of which is really, ultimately, necessary.
